The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit has enjoined the State of South Carolina, a South Carolina school district, and other defendants from denying a transgender boy access to boys’ restrooms at school.

The Impact Fund has awarded Wardenski P.C. a $25,000 litigation grant to support the firm’s work on Doe v. South Carolina, a federal civil rights lawsuit challenging a South Carolina law that prohibits transgender students from accessing school restrooms aligning with their gender identities.

Wardenski P.C., together with Public Justice, has filed a class action lawsuit against the State of South Carolina and other defendants challenging a discriminatory state law that prohibits transgender students from using restrooms corresponding to their gender identities in public K-12 schools.
